Course overview

The Accounting Assistant programme prepares students for entry-level accounting roles in companies or chartered accountancy firms. It provides the skills required to handle day-to-day accounting transactions, administrative and financial follow-up, as well as the preparation of periodic and year-end procedures, under the supervision of an accounting manager or chartered accountant.

This qualification is a gateway to careers in accounting and a solid foundation for progressing to higher-level accounting roles.

Learning objectives

Block 1 – Handle day-to-day accounting transactions

  • Administrative and accounting management of customers

Block 2 – Prepare periodic accounting procedures

  • Presentation of performance dashboards

Block 3 – Contribute to year-end accounting procedures

  • Processing of fixed assets

  • Processing of loans and appropriation of net income

Training arrangements

  • Apprenticeship (12 months) — Rhythm: 3 weeks in company / 1 week at the training centre
  • Continuing education (5 months) — Intensive programme with a mandatory 6-week placement in a company

Prerequisites

  • Level 3 recommended (CAP/BEP) or professional experience
  • Interest in accounting and management
  • Basic proficiency with IT tools
